Ron MaierMr. Maier has been involved in Marching Band, Drum Corps, and Winter Guard since 1974. A native of Bremerton, Washington, he was a member of the Titans Drum and Bugle Corps, the Seattle Imperials, the Madison Scouts, and the State Street Review. He has designed for and taught many groups across the United States and Canada, including the Phantom Regiment of Rockford, Illinois, the Marauders of Longview, Washington, Les Eclipses of Montreal, Quebec, and numerous high school bands and Winter Guards. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Washington. Currently Mr. Maier is Director of Bands at Finn Hill Junior High School in the Lake Washington School District and Color Guard instructor at Olympic High School in Silverdale, Washington.

Gary Gimmestad
Gary Gimmestad has been involved in the marching band/drum corps activity for over 30 years, as a member, instructor, arranger and adjudicator. Most recently, Mr. Gimmestad was Percussion Caption Head for the Imperials Music and Youth Organization, Auburn High School, and Ferndale High School. Mr. Gimmestad has judged marching band contests throughout the Northwest including the Washington State Championships on several occasions. Mr. Gimmestad is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and has served two terms as President of the Northwest Pageantry Association.Visual Effect
Brent Kline
Brent Kline was a high school band director for 14 years in both California and Washington. As a marching member and instructor in the drum and bugle activity, Mr. Kline participated in groups such as The Concord Blue Devils, Marauders and Seattle Cascades. Current involvement in the pageantry arts includes writing & designing visual programs for high school marching bands and winter colorguards throughout the United States. Mr. Kline also participates as an adjudicator for concert band festivals, marching band contests and for the Northwest Pageantry Association. Currently, Mr. Kline is an Assistant Principal at Mariner High School in the Mukilteo School District.Music General Effect
Glenn CarrMr. Glenn Carr is a graduate of Central Washington University and holds a Master of Arts in composition and theory from that university. During his thirty years as a teacher in the Eastmont School District, he taught: band, jazz band, brass choir, woodwind choir and percussion ensembles. Mr. Carr has also served as a woodwind coach for the Port Angeles High School marching band and the Wenatchee Golden Apple Band. In addition to his work as a teacher, private teacher and woodwind coach, he has also performed as an adjudicator for both Solo/Ensemble Contests and Large Group Contests.

John Owen
John P. Owen was born in Yakima, Washington, and was raised in Naches, Washington. He was a member of the United States Army Band and stationed in the United States and Europe from 1964 to 1968. Mr. Owen is currently an active performer and teacher. He conducts the Columbia Basin College Symphony Orchestra, Harmonie Columbia, a wind chamber ensemble, and is active as a chamber musician playing horn with the Columbia Brass Quintet, and the Mid-Columbia Symphony Orchestra. He is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Oregon specializing in conducting and music education. His 30-year teaching experience includes K-6 general music, 6-12 band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, marching band, and music theory. In addition, Mr. Owen has four years of college teaching experience, and is very active in research.Music Performance - Individual
Mic Moses
Mr. Mick Moses has been a music educator and marching, concert, and jazz band adjudicator for the past 34 years. His teaching experience includes 25 years in the Kent School District as well as 5 previous years in the South Kitsap School District. His Bands have been consistently among the top groups in the Pacific Northwest. He is the past chair-person for the Washington Music Educators Association task force on marching band adjudication. He has been asked to judge various music contests in Washington, Oregon, and California as well as British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. Mr. Moses is currently retired and living in the Lake Chelan area.

Ken Sakota
Kenneth Sakoda has been a marching adjudicator since 1983. He has experience in many types of events, from marching band and drum and bugle corps, to drill teams and colorguard. As a program designer and instructor, Mr. Sakoda has numerous titles to he credit. Among these are first place rankings in the Washington State High School Marching Band contest and the Northwest Pageantry Association Grand Championships. His own experience as a performer on the field began in 1960 and continued for ten years.

Rick Bassham
Mr. Rick Bassham attended the University of Washington. Over the past twenty years, he has been a marching instructor for several marching bands, drum corps and colorguards in Washington State as well as groups in British Columbia and Hawaii. Mr. Bassham has judged throughout the Northwest as a member of the Northwest Pageantry Judges Association. He has also been a clinician and judge for the Oregon Dance and Drill Association and for Winter Guard International. Mr. Bassham currently resides in Sumner, Washington where he operates a small business.Drum Major
