Yakima School District Yakima, Washington Exhibition Division Cadet Marching Band 8:30 AM David Walter, Band Director S P L I TThe Eisenhower Cadet Marching Band and Color Guard is proud to present our 2018 program, SPLIT from the powerful Broadway musical Jekyll and Hyde. Investigate the strange, capricious dual nature of good vs evil through the musical arrangements of Jay Bocook and Will Rapp. Prologue/Murder, Murder: Right from the start, this dark and sinister sounding opening number delivers. In His Eyes: Enjoy the beautiful, melodic lines of this ballad featuring the woodwinds and a trumpet solo. Façade: This driving arrangement is loaded with energy and intensity, striking sounds and dramatic effects - sure to WOW! In Spring 2019 the Eisenhower Band and Orchestra will be touring Los Angeles for 8 days. Highland High School

Naches Valley School District Naches, Washington A Division Ranger Marching Band 9:45 AM Linda Doria, Band Director The grim and ghastly, the sinister and spooky, the creepy and freaky: we both love and hate to be terrified. The Naches High School Marching Band show for 2018 is called “In the Shadows.” The show was inspired by Madd Hatter’s Haunt, a haunted house comprising of volunteers with the profits going to local charities. Students of Naches Valley Music program have been volunteers for the Madd Hatter’s Haunt for over 7 years. The band under the direction of Linda Doria would like to dedicate their show to Madd Hatter’s Haunt! Our visual technician is Juan Bradford, our colorguard technician is Mi-Rae Kapelak, battery is Anders Clark. Our drum majors are Dalton Hiatt and Keeli Shakespear Richland High School
Richland SD Richland, Washington AA Division Bomber Marching Band 10:15 AM Jason Rose, Band Director Richland High School presents their 2018 show, “We’re All Mad Here.” A trip into the surreal world of Wonderland, the show depicts Lewis Carroll’s Alice encountering the Mad Hatter. We witness Alice become confused and frustrated at the Mad Tea-Party, after which she and the Mad Hatter reconcile, teaming up to confront the Red Queen. In the end, this unlikely pair defeats the Red Queen, while Alice is left wondering about the blurred line between reality and dreams.The show is directed by drum majors Adriana Bonner and Alex Patterson, with violin soloists Emily Garibay, Andrea Barnett, and Mackenzie Ostrowski. Wired, The Rise of Artificial Intelligence shows an emotional portrayal of a robot’s rise to life and a musical look inside it's Grid of a mind. After we come to know it and witness its full capacity, we begin to realize the Alternative Reality of what may or may not unfold. Then, as the daze of the alternate reality fades, this creature, once pure and hopeful becomes our worst nightmare, Infected. In total chaos, its code tries to find a way within itself to defeat this “virus” and eventually becomes pure, once again in an ending of excitement and triumph! Bonney Lake High School

With excitement and passion, we will transport the listener through this most famous of folklore stories – shedding light on our own struggles of renewal and perseverance. The vivid imagery of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite provides the soundtrack – sculpting our fiery production as hues of orange, red, and yellow showcase the illuminating quality of the Firebird Much like the Phoenix we explore the unknown mysteries of life, and in the process, learn that nothing can hold us back. The program opens with Amazing Grace, which is quickly overtaken by the witches’ theme. These themes interplay throughout the show, representing the tension and hostility between The Accused and their Accusers. This is a story of fear, persecution and ultimate redemption. On October 25, 1415, during the Hundred Years War, Henry the Fifth of England, with his beleaguered army, was confronted by the chivalry of France. The English, ill and starving, were outnumbered at least 3 to 1. Through a mixture of luck, weather and superior technology Henry was able to defeat the French and establish an English presence in Northern France. West Valley High School

A future society reaches a crisis with advanced computers merged with their brain. The Artificial Intelligence begins to control every detail of their lives, influencing personal decisions and limiting individual freedoms and liberties. The society realizes there is more to being human that technology cannot provide.
