The A.C. Davis Buccaneer Marching Band and Color Guard, and the Buccaneer Band Boosters would like to welcome you to the Fourth Annual Harvest Marching Festival. Thank you to Forrest Fisher, and Bill Gilmore for representing A.C. Davis High School, and our friends at D.D. Eisenhower High School, who's combined efforts make this great festival possible each year.
The Band and Color Guard would like to thank the many parents who have made this marching season possible, including Band Camp Coordinator, Lynn Gilmore, cooks Scott and Heidi Mayes, and the many chaperones and equipment drivers. We would also would like to thank D'arcy Rowe, Tina Klingle, Michelle Wiltsey, and Megan Price for all of their countless hours of work to make the flags and color guard uniforms.
The A.C. Davis High School Music Department is proud to offer courses in Jazz Band, Jazz Choir, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Mens Chorus, Women's Chorus, 2 Orchestras, Piano, Mariachi, Dance, Stage Craft and IB Music. The music department would like to welcome longtime music educator Roger Stansbury back to A.C. Davis High School as choral music director.
This year's show, "Sine Nomine" features Holst's 1906 composition, Marching Song, Nimrod, variation 9 from Elgar's Enigma Variations, and Vaughan Williams' Sine Nomine.
The marching band staff would like to thank the Buccaneer Band Boosters, Rahier Trucking, Ted Brown Music, the Yakima Public Schools, Arts Director Sharon Harris, and Music Department Secretary Linda Koverman for their support.

The Spartan Marching Band will perform 1812 Overture - Largo from "New World Symphony" and Selections from Carmina Burana.
The Bainbridge High School Spartan Band program is in its eighth year of rebuilding, and has grown from 37 students in 1997 to 200 students for the 2004-05 school year. We pride ourselves on offering a well-rounded program with quality performing ensembles. Spartan Band ensembles include three concert bands, percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble and a 90 member volunteer Marching Band.
Our proud attendance at the 2004 Harvest Marching Band Festival is a huge step in achieving our goal of providing a well-rounded quality band program.
The Spartan Band has won first place prizes at several contest with both their Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. In 2003, the Spartan Band won the "Spirit of Anaheim" award from Heritage Festivals for being the group that best represented their State and Community.

Cheney Marching Band constantly strives for excellence. Last year the marching band traveled to Eugene Oregon, performing in finals competition at the 2003 University of Oregon Festival of Bands. They received high General
Effect and High percussion awards.

The East Valley Band is proud of its newly formed tradition of excellence. The East Valley HS Jazz Band is sought after for performances such as the Spokane County Fair, the Spokane Convention Center Ground Breaking Ceremony, and many other local and regional events such as auctions and wedding receptions. The East Valley HS school Drumline performed in concert last June with country singing sensation Shania Twain. The East Valley High School Marching Band is proud of it's Division A championship at the 2002, and 2003 Pacific Northwest Marching Band championships as well as caption awards for Marching and Percussion at many other events. The East Valley band is also proud of the education and training it offers students on the individual level. Many of the East Valley band students have gone on to receive awards at the State Solo contest, placement into State and Regional Honor Bands, and receive university level Music Scholarships.As always, the East Valley High School Band and its staff would like to thank the parents who put in hours of volunteer work to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the students. band director, Rob Lewis. The Colorguard is under the instruction of

and Megan Alexandrovich.

The Kennewick High School Marching Band is directed by Randy Bjur and Jason Rose. Percussion Instructors are Brian Phillips, Mike Girard and Josh Fulfs. Color Guard instruction is by Kate Weir. Woodwind Instructors are Mariko Intlekofer, Ryan Lane and Mary Claybrook. Brass Instructors are John Owen and Jason Schoonover. This year's drill design is by Kary Etherington, with Color Guard choreography by Jennifer Scott. The music was arranged by Jason Rose, with percussion arrangements by Brian Phillips and Josh Fulfs.
The Kennewick Band is led by Drum Majors Cassidy Elliott and Jordyn Palmer, with Junior Drum Major Jeremy Bennett. Color Guard Captains are Anna Powell and Jessica Lane.
The members and staff of the KeHS Marching Band would like to thank the Instrumental Booster Club who donate their time for fundraising, chaperoning, equipment work and the myriad of other jobs that help us function. We could not do any of this without you. Special thanks go to Bill Suhr and his crew for the design and manufacturing of our pit equipment and band trailer set up. We would also like to thank the Kennewick School District for their support, especially KeHS administrators Jack Anderson and Wendy London.

The exciting music from the movie, THE MASK OF ZORRO is our feature presentation.
Richland High School has been recognized by the Grammy Foundation as a Signature School Music Department in 2002. The Bomber Marching Band performed in Washington D.C. in May, 2004. The Richland High School Wind Ensemble performed at the National MENC (Music Educators National Conference) Convention in Nashville in 2002, and at the 2003 Northwest Music Educators Conference in Portland in 2003. The Bomber Marching Band has won their division in the Tri-Cities CAVALCADE OF BANDS, the HARVEST MARCHING BAND FESTIVAL in Yakima, and has been in the finals at the Puget Sound Festival of Bands, Everett, WA; Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships, Spokane, WA, and Pacific Coast Marching Championships, Salem, OR.

Band Director: Brett DupreeThe Auburn Marching Band has a rich tradition of excellence. In existence since 1950, the band has marched in 2 Tournament of Roses Parades (1987 and 1989), performed at Seattle Seahawks football games, and won many 1st place and caption awards throughout the Western United States and Canada in parades and field show competitions. Auburn band, in conjunction with the Band Parents, host the annual Veterens Day Parade and Field Show Competition, this year on Saturday, November 6th. The parade is on Main Street in Auburn and begins at 11:00am, the Field Show Competition is at Auburn Memorial Stadium and begins at 2:00pm.
Our show this year is the New World Symphony by Anton Dvorak and School for Scandal by Samuel Barber.
Russ Newbury, Band Director
The Pasco High School Marching Band is in its third year under the direction of Russ Newbury. Over the past three years the band has received numerous superior ratings at concert band, jazz ensemble, and marching band festivals throughout the Northwest.The Pasco Public Schools has made a significant contribution to music education through its "Instrument for Loan Program." This program provides instruments to disadvantaged youth throughout the community. This year's freshman class is the first wave of students who have come through the program. The district's commitment to a summer band program for fifth though eighth grade students has also helped to give greater opportunity to students who may not have private access to quality summer programs.
The Pasco School system is proud of its focus on the arts and is excited to see the increased access to music education for all students.
This years show is entitled "Amazon." It is written by band director Russ Newbury and percussion instructor Chris Newbury.
The show is divided into four movements:
I-Amazon, II- Javelina(havaleena) III- Rain Forest, and IV- Piranha.

The Sumner High School Marching Band is proud to be performing at the Harvest Marching Band Festival. Our show is "Disney's Fantasmic", with music from the popular Disneyland & DisneyWorld attraction, and musical selections include "Mickey the Sorcerer" and "The Princess Medley".
The 99-member Sumner High School Marching Band has a long tradition of excellence, including performing in the 1998 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and Sweepstakes Award performances at the Spokane Lilac Festival Parade and the Victoria, B.C. Parade. This year alone this group has participated in the Daffodil Festival Parades (4 parades in one day!), the Wenatchee Apple Blossom Parade, the Portland Rose Festival Starlight Parade, the Renton River Days Parade, the Seattle Seafair Torchlight Parade, and the White Rock B.C. Spirit of the Sea Parade, as well as performances at the Puyallup Fair and Qwest Field in Seattle. The Sumner High School Marching Band was just selected to perform in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C. on April 9, 2005.

Cascade High School has won many Marching Band competitions held in the Northwest as well as competitions in Canada and Florida. The band has performed in Russia with the "Red Army Band", in England at the "FA Cup", and in Australia at Ruby and Australian Rules football matches. They will be going to Florida this Spring to participate in the "All American Music Festival" and have received an invitation from the Chinese government to perform in China in 2007. The concert bands and jazz bands have also won numerous competitions as well as receiving Superior ratings at festivals for the past 15 years. Cascade High School has been well represented at the Regional and State solo contests and had members in the All State and All Northwest groups and a member of the Bands of America National Honor Band. Cascade High School is proud to be competing in the Harvest Marching Band Festival for the 3rd time and would like to wish all of the bands "Good Luck."

The Mead High School Band Program has a long-standing tradition of excellence and prides itself on offering its students a wide range of musical opportunities. Mead's performing ensembles include three concert bands, orchestra, three jazz bands, marching band, percussion ensemble, Indoor drumline, and courses in music theory and music theater.
The marching band has twice performed in the Tournament of Roses Parade and has won sweepstakes at the 2000, 2002, and 2003 Cavalcade of Bands, 2001, 2002 and 2003 Harvest Marching Band Competition and 2001 and 2003 Puget Sound Marching Band Championships. The band has placed first in Class AA. this past November at the Bands of America Regional Championships in Phoenix, Arizona.

The first movement "El Toro Rojo" draws you to the traditional bull-fught and "The Red Bull" is the mightiest of all.
The second movement is the beautiful "Echo of Maleguena" one of the most classica examples of spanish music.

The Mead High School Band Program has a long-standing tradition of excellence and prides itself on offering its students a wide range of musical opportunities. Mead's performing ensembles include three concert bands, orchestra, three jazz bands, marching band, percussion ensemble, Indoor drumline, and courses in music theory and music theater.
The marching band has twice performed in the Tournament of Roses Parade and has won sweepstakes at the 2000, 2002, and 2003 Cavalcade of Bands, 2001, 2002 and 2003 Harvest Marching Band Competition and 2001 and 2003 Puget Sound Marching Band Championships. The band has placed first in Class AA. this past November at the Bands of America Regional Championships in Phoenix, Arizona.
